📝🗂📄 POLICY RECAP: Hamilton readopted the untouched state trans student policy (full protections) in April. That should have been the end of it. Instead, the policy was “up for discussion” in May but they tabled the discussion because public comment took so long. At this moment Hamilton is not officially revising their policy yet (/at all?) but they are talking about it.
All the other meetings (Colts Neck, Middletown, Marlboro, and Manalapan) are second reads of forced outing policies, meaning this is our last chance to stop their adoption. Some of them also allow parents to override their kids’ wishes at school regarding which names, pronouns, bathrooms, etc are used
